Durand Eastman Beach on Lake Ontario is part of Durand Eastman Park. The beach boasts 5,000 feet of Lake Ontario waterfront; the Park also features steep wooded slopes, valleys, scenic vistas, small lakes, spring flowering trees and wildlife including swans, turkeys, and fox; and spectacular fall foliage colors.
Swimming is supervised by beach guards in its designated area (Lot A). All staff are trained in lifesaving, First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
The Beach is currently open for swimming, 12 noon to 6 p.m., seven days a week in the summer. During Cool Sweeps, the Beach will remain open for an extra hour, until 7 p.m.

Essential Rules
- Never swim alone.
- No beach balls or flotation devices.
- Never use drugs or alcohol when swimming.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Grills, fires, and glass containers are not allowed on the beach.
No Animals on Beach A (Swim Area) , all animals must be leashed at all times on trails and Beach area B-D
