News Release

(Friday, April 20, 2012) – Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner R. Carlos Carballada and City Council President Lovely A. Warren joined owner Christopher Thomas to celebrate the grand opening of the new location of New 2 U Homes at 310 State St. in the Mills at High Falls.

“I am honored to welcome New 2 U Homes to High Falls,” said Carballada. “The city benefits tremendously when small businesses such as this thrive. They create jobs, provide critical services to residents and strengthen the neighborhood where they are located.”

Mr. Thomas began New 2 U Homes in 2007 with the goal of simplifying the home buying process for customers. The full-service real estate brokerage company provides its clients with personalized real estate solutions and step-by-step assistance with their real estate transactions. In addition to acting as buyers’ agents for primary location residences, New 2 U Homes also specializes in investment property purchases, assisting customers with property evaluations and developing detailed investment strategies.

New 2 U Homes has outgrown its previous location and is now located in a 1,200 square-foot space in the High Falls Historic District. The unique office space utilizes eco-friendly materials and designs such as floors made of bamboo, a highly renewable resource that is as durable as wood.

$8,000 dollars has been invested in the relocation and expansion. The firm has created 9 new jobs.
