Play Ball with the Rochester Red Wings

Learn from the pros

City youth are invited to learn baseball skills from members of the Rochester Red Wings. 

The Play Ball Initiative will provide Rochester youth an opportunity to learn baseball skills at a clinic hosted by Rochester Red Wings players. 

Red Wings Mascot Spikes will also be on hand!

The Play Ball initiative will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday July 18 at the Frederick Douglass R-Center, 999 South Ave.

Schedule 

  • 10 to 11 a.m. - Registration and warmup
  • 11 a.m. to noon - Baseball clinic with Red Wings players
  • Noon to 1 p.m. - Free lunch 

About the Play Ball Initiative

The Play Ball Initiative program was launched in 2015 by Major League Baseball and the United States Conference of Mayors in order to “energize communities and generate a love for baseball and softball.”
