(Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren will be joined by Buffalo Bills’ superstar LeSean McCoy as they encourage Rochesterians to donate new coats for children from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the Blue Cross Arena, 100 Exchange Blvd.
Anyone who donates a new children’s coat will receive a signed photo from McCoy, the star running back of the Buffalo Bills, who is co-sponsoring the event with the City of Rochester through his foundation, Shades of Greatness. Radio station WDKX will be broadcasting live from the arena for the evening.
Buffalo Bills fans are encouraged to come down and celebrate their favorite football team while giving the gift of a warm coat to a child.
The coats collected at the event will be distributed to children at the Mayor’s annual “Bringing Christmas Downtown” event on Dec. 15. New or gently used dry-cleaned coats and new unwrapped toys can also be donated at City Hall during normal business hours through Dec. 3.
