Library Profile

The Arnett Branch Library is located in the southwest sector (4) of Rochester, NY at the intersection of Arnett Blvd. and Warwick Ave. The current building, completed in 1973, is spacious and comfortable with 12,000 sq. ft. and a large adjacent parking area. The branch has a children's room and teen center.  

The Helen Martin Memorial Garden of native New York State plants is tucked into an alcove outside the library.

The Arnett Branch Library is a member of the Monroe County Library System.


"Safe to Be Smart" - Activities and services geared toward youth ages 13 - 17.
Dial-A-Teacher Homework Assistance - Children can receive help with their homework on most Tuesdays and Thursdays during the school year from 3 to 6 p.m.
Story Time - Story times take place on most Tuesdays at 11:15 a.m. and on most Saturdays at 1 p.m.

Meeting Room - The Arnett meeting room seats 100 and is available to non-profit and for-profit organizations. Non-profits may book the room for free. A 30$ fee applies for for-profit groups. Please call the reference desk at (585) 428-8214 for additional details.
Notary Public - Patrons in need of this service are advised to call ahead to make sure the Notary Public is on duty before coming in.
Literacy Navigator (Mondays from noon to 3 p.m.) The Literacy Navigator can provide help with paperwork, health forms, school forms, resumes, job and housing applications, understanding bills and finding community resources. The Navigator can help with both paper and computer forms. This service is provided by the Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, NY. 
The Books by Bike mobile - takes library services out into the community as weather and staffing permit.
