News Release - Mayor Duffy Takes City Hall On The Road To Cobbs Hill

City of Rochester

News Release

(Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009) – Mayor Robert J. Duffy will continue the 2009 season of City Hall On The Road today at Lake Riley Lodge in Cobbs Hill Park.

Today’s event marks the return of the indoor format after a summer of City Halls on the Road that consisted of Mayor Duffy and senior administrators walking along various streets in the city. The evening offers residents a chance to discuss the new Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD), 175th Anniversary activities, public safety, leaf collection, snow plowing, street lighting, potholes, vacant lots and more.

Since taking office in January, 2006, Mayor Duffy has hosted more than three dozen City Halls on the Road, providing residents and merchants a chance to meet in their own neighborhoods with the Mayor and top-level administrators, including the Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments and the Commissioners of the Departments of Neighborhood and Business Development; Recreation and Youth Services; and Environmental Services. City Hall on the Road underscores Mayor Duffy’s commitment to customer service by providing constituents a convenient opportunity to make suggestions or talk about issues in their neighborhoods with members of the City administration.

Today’s event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lake Riley Lodge, 100 Norris Drive. Free parking is available. For more information call 311 (or 585-428-5990 from outside the city) or visit www.cityofrochester.gov.
