News Release - Commissioner Carballada Cuts Ribbon at Hot Rosita’s

(Friday, Feb. 19, 2010) – R. Carlos Carballada, Commissioner of Neighborhood and Business Development, joined partners Mitchell Redlo and David Romilly today to cut a ceremonial ribbon celebrating the grand opening ceremony of Hot Rosita’s, 17 E. Main St. in downtown Rochester. Hot Rosita’s specializes in fresh Mexican food. The goal is to provide high-quality food in large quantities, while maintaining freshness and speed. Menu items include burritos, tacos and salads and are priced between $4.95 and $5.95. Beverage prices range between $1.25 and $2.25.

The partners have invested $60,000 of private equity to prepare the site. The work force will include three to four full-time and four to seven part-time employees, of which five are city residents.

Partner Mitchell Redlo states: "We are pleased to play a role in the revitalization of the city through job creation as well as serving the business and residential community. With the arrival of PAETEC and a new MCC campus on the horizon, the future of the city is looking brighter and brighter."

The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to cater to the downtown lunch crowd. Hot Rosita’s will also be open during downtown special events.
