Friends of the Public Market and Market Merchandise

Friends of the Rochester Public Market

Friends of the Rochester Public Market is an all-volunteer organization that supports the market in many important ways. public-market-cookbook[1]

The Friends signature program is the Market Token Program, through which food stamp benefit recipients can use those benefits to purchase fresh, healthy food from the Market.

Friends Initiatives

The Market Token Program

Artists Row: The Friends organize the increasingly popular Artists Row at the Market each September, through which dozens of local artists display their work at the Market. The 2014 Artists Row will be Sunday, September 14. For more information and an artist application, click here or go to www.marketfriends.org.

Market Merchandise: The friends sell an array of Market Merchandise from their kiosk at the Market, or at the Market office. See below for more about these Market mementos!

Market Gift Tokens: A great gift any time of year, for any occasion! Purchased from the Friends at the Market office and sold in $5.00 increments, these tokens can be used to purchase food but may not be used to purchase general merchandise.
