***Time Change*** This Tuesday Topics program will run from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

Public libraries are undergoing a transformation in how and what services are provided to library users. In urban areas, public libraries are often the only source of online services offered to the general public free of charge, while at the same time, a large proportion of users access the library catalog and website from homes, schools or offices. Demand for more and sophisticated online services is growing all the time. As the Rochester Public Library enters its centennial year in 2011, a new kind of library branch is emerging, one that does not have a roof and four walls, but one that exists only online. The Reynolds Digital Library of the Rochester Public Library will provide traditional services in new ways that respond to the expressed needs of mobile library users.
