Residents Reminded to Adhere to Alternate Parking Signs

(Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011) – Acting Mayor Carlos Carballada today announced that the City is postponing residential refuse and recycling collection one day for the remainder of the week due to the forecast of heavy snow. Wednesday’s collection will take place on Thursday, Thursday’s collection will take place on Friday, and Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday.

The delay will enable the City to utilize refuse equipment for assistance with plowing operations should the weather necessitate it.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to adhere to posted alternate parking regulations to enable City crews to plow the streets more effectively.

In addition, residents are reminded sidewalk plowing is a supplemental service and that it is the responsibility of the owner or ground floor tenant to keep their walk clear.
