Do you love Highland Park? Would you like to learn more about its creation and its history? Come and learn more about both Highland park and the Highland Park Neighborhood.

Michael Tomb will present a talk illustrated with maps, photos and botanical art from the early days of the park. Come hear how the park grew out of the Ellwanger & Barry Mt. Hope Nursery and Reality Companies. Listen to a story of entrepreneurs, playgrounds, parks, political maneuvering and so many trees that Rochester was once called "The City in A Forest"

Michael has presented a display on the history of "Rochester's Botanical Treasure" at both the Lilac Festival and at City Hall. He continues to add to the fascinating story of what was also once proclaimed as "The Finest and Healthiest Part of the City" in early 20th century advertisements.
