Hedonist Artisan Chocolates: Jan. 26, 2012

Hedonist Artisan Chocolates co-owners/partners Jennifer Posey and Zahra Langford marked the five-year anniversary of their business with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its expansion at 674 South Ave., in the South Wedge.

Previously, Hedonist Artisan Chocolates occupied about 350 square feet in the back of the building at 674 South Ave. When the building went up for sale, Posey and Langford were eager to purchase the space to build a larger kitchen and retail store and improve the store’s street presence. The City and the Rochester Economic Development Corp. assisted with funding. Read more.

Erdman Anthony was the second company since December 2011 to move into the recently redeveloped Culver Road Armory. Erdman Anthony moved to the Culver Road Armory from their previous location on Brighton Henrietta Townline Road. The newly-redesigned Armory provided an attractive option that ended up being the right fit for the firm. 

The City assisted Erdman Anthony with funding from the Business Development Financial Assistance Program. Read more.

Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop recently celebrated the opening of its 35th and 36th full-service restaurants in Rochester making the chain’s "Always Fresh" premium blend coffee and baked goods available to guests at 55 different locations throughout the city.

DeGolier and his wife Judy entered the new year with the opening of their fourth restaurant, located at 1286 Mt. Hope Ave. in Rochester. The restaurant brings approximately 25 new full- and part-time employees to the communities they serve. Read more.
