A Holiday Greeting from Mayor Richards

Neighbors and Friends,

Mayor RichardsI want to take this opportunity to wish you and your families the very best this holiday season and the very best in the New Year.

You have made our community widely known as a compassionate and friendly place that fosters goodwill and generosity toward those in need. When we gather together with our families and friends to celebrate the holidays, let us be thankful for our blessings, while we remember those who are less fortunate, particularly those in Newtown, Connecticut.

As we look ahead to the New Year, we look forward not only as individuals, but collectively, as members of this wonderful community.

It has been an exciting year for Rochester as we’ve witnessed substantial progress in our Center City and many of our neighborhoods — and we have another year of progress ahead of us.

And you—the people of Rochester and your enthusiasm—remain our greatest asset. This shows in our growing reputation as a great place to live, work and raise a family.

We are entering 2013 in the fortunate position of being a city in the midst of a transformation. There remains work to be done, but we are not afraid to face our challenges. You are the reason for this momentum.

You make me proud to be Mayor of Rochester and I am sincerely honored to continue to serve you. I look forward to the opportunities that lay ahead of us in 2013.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Mayor Tom Richards
