The City's Black Heritage Committee, in honor of Black Heritage Month, is hosting a month-long program of events to celebrate our nation’s black heritage. This year the committee recognizes the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.

The Conference theme is 150 Years Since the Emancipation Proclamation. Keynote Speaker Dr. Marvin McMickle, President of the Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, will present "How Far Have We Come."
