(Friday, April 19, 2013) – City Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner R. Carlos Carballada and City Council President Lovely A. Warren joined with owner Leon Jones II today to celebrate the opening of Leon’s Quality Cuts Barber Shop in the city’s southwest, at 411 Chili Ave.
Mr. Jones said that Leon’s Quality Cuts Barber Shop is unlike any other shop in town because it offers professional haircuts with all the comforts of home. Customers can receive unique haircuts while relaxing in custom barber chairs while watching television or using the wireless internet.
"I would like to thank you for investing in our city as a business owner and I look forward to seeing your barber shop become an asset to this neighborhood,” said Commissioner Carballada. ‘On behalf of Mayor Thomas S. Richards, and the residents of the city, we wish you the best and appreciate your commitment to improving services available in the city.”
Mr. Jones was provided with a small business grant by the City to help him open the barber shop.
The shop is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
