Description:

A special, twofold spectacular when Downtown goes live on the Fourth of July for the City's Independence Day celebration! 
The world-renowned Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will again be featured on the Main Street Bridge, along with music by Jimmie Highsmith Experience,  and the popular Windstream Party in the Park concert will headline Americana soul band Dawes at its Riverside Festival Site on the corner of Court and Exchange Streets.

9:00 p.m. -   Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra
10:00 p.m. - Fireworks
 

Riverside Festival Site
Party in the Park
5 -10 p.m.

Recommended fireworks viewing areas:   Main St. Bridge, Broad St. Bridge, Chestnut St. near the Washington Square Garage, the Party in the Park concert site and streets surrounding those areas.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for more comfortable viewing of the fireworks show and concert and to refrain from bringing pets for everyone's safety.    

Please note that no chairs are allowed in the Riverside Festival Site.

Street Closures:

Main Street, from St. Paul St. to State St. will close to traffic from 6 a.m. on Thurs., July 4 until 2 a.m. on Fri., July 5.   On Thurs. (7/4) the Sister Cities Bridge will close to pedestrians, 6 - 11 p.m.;  South Ave., from Woodbury Blvd. to Griffith St. will close to pedestrians from 9:45 p.m. -  10:45 p.m.    No stopping will be allowed on Interstate 490 or the Inner Loop.

Any cancelations due to weather will be broadcast from Entercom radio stations WBEE, The Buzz, 98 PXY and WCMF.
