City of Rochester
(Friday, June 14, 2013) – Mayor Thomas S. Richards is pleased to announce that On the Road Again celebrated its grand opening in an expanded location at 428 Jefferson Ave. today. Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner R. Carlos Carballada joined business owner Wanda Adames today to mark the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. On The Road Again offers gently used children’s items.
“I want to thank Ms. Adames for investing in Rochester and bringing such a valuable retail service to this neighborhood,” said Commissioner Carballada. “Businesses like this are the building blocks of the city’s economy, so her recent expansion is a welcome sign that bodes well for Southwest Rochester.”
Ms. Adames said she enjoys offering products that are affordable for families. Her store offers gently used children's items such as books, toys, clothing, shoes and furniture at marked down prices.“I believe that providing parents with an opportunity to dress their children beautifully helps to make childhood a joyous time of life,” said Ms. Adames. Ms. Adames opened On The Road Again in December of 2012 and expanded it in March 2013, bringing the total size to about 1000 square feet.
On the Road Again is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
