(Tuesday, July 23, 2013) – “A Beautiful Place to Rest: Rochester’s Mount Hope Cemetery” will be on exhibit at the Link Gallery in City Hall, 30 Church St. starting on Wednesday, July 31. The exhibit, which features the photography of David C. Gaudioso, will mark the 175th anniversary of the historic landmark, exploring how the cemetery grounds provide a beautiful and tranquil place for both temporal and eternal rest to travelers on their way. “A Beautiful Place to Rest” will run through September 16, 2013 and is free and open to the public.

An opening reception for the art show will be held on Thursday, August 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Link Gallery and is also open to the public.

David C. Gaudioso is a Rochester-based photographer who specializes in wildlife and landscape photography. Since 2011 his work has been used to promote Mount Hope and Riverside Cemeteries.
