Description:

Mayor Lovely A. Warren will issue a proclamation of April 25-August 4, 2014, as “Freedom and Liberty Days 2014” at a free, public concert commemorating the 70th anniversary of the World War II D-Day invasion of Normandy by Allied Forces that led to the liberation of France and Rochester’s sister city, Rennes.

Nazareth College and Alliance Française's "Franco-American choir" will be joined at the concert by local veterans and the crew of the “Return to Normandy 2014” flight of the Geneseo National Warplane Museum’s flagship World War II Douglas C-47 troop transport, which will participate in anniversary celebrations and visit Rennes on June 9th
