ROC the Park Concert Series Concludes Saturday

 

(Wednesday, September 3, 2014) —The final ROC the Park Concert will take place Saturday Sept. 6 in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at Manhattan Square. “A Day of Gospel” will feature local musicians Jason Wright and The Masters Touch, Serena Young, David “D-Will” Williams, Paul Boutte and The Zion Hill Mass Choir, The Bright Clouds and more.

Gates open at 11 a.m. and the shows start at 12 noon. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

“It is our pleasure to bring this new and exciting event for everyone to enjoy,” said Mayor Warren. “ROC the Park adds to our legacy as the City of the Arts. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a night of great music.”

Tickets are $5 and are available at Ticketmaster.com (with associated fees) or in person at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial box office, 100 Exchange Blvd., and on the day of the show at the gate on a cash-only basis.

Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into ROC the Park. Individual lawn chairs (no canopy tops or doubles) will be allowed. Picnic baskets, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and pets will not be allowed in.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at Manhattan Square is located at the corner of Chestnut Street and Court Street Downtown.

Parking is available at nearby parking garages including the Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Boulevard, the Court Street Garage, 194 Court Street and at the East End Garage, 475 E. Main Street, as well as on street in the area.

ROC the Park is sponsored by the City of Rochester, Roc Royal Entertainment, Feel Safe Security, In-Control Teen Program and Roc Candy Media and is produced by Carlton Wilcox LIVE.
