School-Based R-Centers to Close Wednesday for Superintendent’s Day
(Tuesday, November 25, 2014) – Eight school-based City R-Centers will be closed Wednesday, November 26, in conjunction with the Rochester City School District’s Superintendent’s Day closing. All other R-Centers will remain open during day hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The following R-Centers will be closed on Wednesday November, 26:
•School No. 17 R-Center, 158 Orchard St.
•School No. 28 R-Center, 450 Humboldt St.
•School No. 42 R-Center, 3330 Lake Ave.
•School No. 43 R-Center, 1305 Lyell Ave.
•School No. 46 R-Center, 250 Newcastle Rd.
•East High School R-Center, 1801 E. Main St.
•Pierpont R-Center (School No. 7), 31 Bryan St.
•Field Street R-Center (School No. 35), 194 Field St.
In addition, all R-Centers will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The new “R-Centers” branding is the City of Rochester's fresh approach to recreation and community centers. R-Centers provide safe, accessible environments where youth and adults can take advantage of first-rate programs and facilities designed to promote healthy living, education, creativity, self-discovery and positive relationships.
