News Release

(Wednesday, December 10, 2014) – The Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union Street, will conclude its 18th annual Holidays at the Market series Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This Sunday’s Holiday at the Market features the ever-popular World’s Greatest Cookie Contest. Amateur or professional entries of one-dozen cookies must be delivered to the Market Office between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, and judging in both categories will take place at noon on Sunday, Dec. 14.

An array of holiday-oriented goods and gifts will be available, including trees and wreaths, decorations, specialty foods, local wine, cozy winter clothing, toys, and much more. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. children can visit with Santa and the whole family can take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Market grounds. Free cookie decorating and coloring stations will also be available for children and their families.

Give the gift of the Market by purchasing Public Market Gift Tokens, on sale at the Friends of the Public Market desk in the Market Office lobby. Market-branded items, such as canvas tote bags, sweatshirts, and the popular Public Market cookbooks, will also be sold by the Friends of the Public Market.

Contest and vendor information can be found online at www.cityofrochester.gov/holidaysatmarket or at the Market Office at 428-6907.
