News Release - City Councilman Adam McFadden to Speak to Youth and Adults Seeking a Fresh Start

(Thursday, January 8, 2015) – City Council Member Adam McFadden will be the guest speaker at an Operation Transformation Rochester (OTR) Fresh Start Talk at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10 at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center Auditorium,161 Chestnut Street.

Councilman McFadden will encourage individuals enrolled in the City’s OTR Fresh Start Program to stay focused and keep their eyes on the prize as they work towards achieving their short- and long-term goals. This talk is free and open to the public. OTR Fresh Start Talks occur on the second Saturday of each month.

OTR employs a series of programs designed to fit individual needs to help youth and adults make connections and gain necessary skills to find and keep a job. The Fresh Start Program helps participants prepare and take the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) high-school equivalency exam. Participants are matched with mentors and staff for guidance and support as they prepare for this test, a critical requirement for sustainable employment.
