The City of Rochester Architecture and Engineering Bureau is requesting proposals from material testing firms with interest in providing material testing services for the City.
Services would require providing qualified material testing staff for various City construction projects. Work will involve provision of materials testing services for the City on City projects at locations within the City of Rochester and at certain projects and material sources outside the City limits, normally located within Monroe County, as requested by the City. The term of the contract is from execution through April 30, 2017.

The Proposal that is to be submitted under this request is located on this web site labeled as: Article I, Part 7, B. Proposal. The Proposal is a list of tests to be performed under this agreement. The tests are divided into the following sections:
- Soils and gravel testing
- Asphalt testing
- Concrete and masonry testing
- Structural steel testing
- Exploratory drilling testing
- Asbestos testing
Firms are requested to submit prices for testing items listed in the above sections of the Proposal. It is not necessary to submit prices for every section. Prices may be submitted only for sections reflecting the specialty areas of a firm. However, if you choose to make a proposal for any one or more of the first six sections above, you must provide a price for each item in that particular section. You do not need to provide a price on each of the miscellaneous items of Section 7.
The Proposal should be submitted in hard copy format. It should consist of a cover letter and the document Article I, Part 7, B. Proposal that includes typed or handwritten prices for the test items listed. A final professional services agreement will be prepared by the City upon review and approval of the Proposals.
We may reject your proposal if it is incomplete.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb 10, 2017.
