News Release - Food Truck Rodeo Continues Wednesday at the City of Rochester Public Market

(Tuesday, August 25, 2015) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren invites the community to the popular Food Truck Rodeo Wednesday, August 26 at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St. Enjoy originals and adapted covers performed by Significant Other. Dozens of food trucks representing a wide variety of Rochester’s favorite cuisine will converge at the Market for an evening of local food, local beer and local bands.

Rodeos are held from 5 to 9 p.m. on the last Wednesday of the month through October at the City of Rochester Public Market. Events are held rain or shine. Remaining Food Truck Rodeos are scheduled as follows:

• Wednesday, Sept. 30: Music by Donnibrooke (Country, rock, and everything in between);
• Wednesday, Oct. 28: Music by Genesee Valley Band (Authentic German and American repertoire and more).

Food Truck Rodeos, sponsored by Rohrbach Brewing Company and the Market District Business Association, are a popular Rochester tradition. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs as seating is limited on Market grounds. 

In addition, the City of Rochester Public Market is proud to partner with Open Door Mission for the 2015 Food Truck Rodeo season. At each Rodeo, Open Door Mission will encourage purchase and donation of Market Gift Tokens to the Mission, which can be used to buy fresh, healthy, affordable food from farmers at the Market for meals served at the Mission’s South Plymouth Avenue shelter for the homeless.
