City of Rochester

News Release

(Wednesday, April 20, 2016) – Mayor Lovely Warren will lead a facilitated work session to obtain community input on the City’s 2016-17 budget at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 in the City Hall Atrium, 30 Church St.

Mayor Warren is seeking opinions on a wide variety of City initiatives. Discussion topics include jobs and business-development programs such as employee-owned cooperative enterprises; public safety topics such as fire safety programs, police department re-organization and body-worn cameras; and neighborhood topics such as anti-poverty initiatives and library and literacy programs.

Citizen input will help the Mayor make the difficult decisions that are necessary to close the City’s $41.2 million budget gap and submit a balanced 2016-17 fiscal year budget proposal.

Refreshments will be served and free parking is available on-street and in the Sister Cities Garage, 28 N. Fitzhugh St.
