News Release - Corn Hill Parking Permits Move to New Locations

(Wednesday, June 29, 2016) - The Corn Hill neighborhood parking permit function will be transferred to the City Clerk’s Licensing Office from the Parking and Municipal Codes Violation Bureau (PMCVB) effective July 1, 2016. The residents of Corn Hill are required to have parking permits. Due to the transfer of this function, current Corn Hill parking permits will be valid through July 31, 2016, instead of June 30. Residents with current Corn Hill parking permits were notified by mail in May 2016. If there are any questions on Corn Hill parking permits, please contact the City Clerk’s Licensing Office at (585) 428-6617.
The City of Rochester will also transfer the application and renewal of handicap parking permits from the City Clerk’s Licensing Office in City Hall to the Neighborhood Service Centers (NSC) effective July 1. Metered parking waivers will also be transferred to the NSC offices. To obtain a permit or metered parking waiver, it requires a government ID, city residency (provide proof of street address) and medical documentation.
These changes will make the process of acquiring a permit more convenient by allowing the applicant to obtain a handicap parking permit at any one of the four NSC offices. The NSC offices are more accessible to handicap individuals than City Hall, both structurally and having more off street parking availability. The NSC offices are also open at 8 a.m., an hour earlier than the City Clerk’s Licensing Office. If there are any questions please contact the Southwest Quadrant NSC Office at (585) 428-7630.
