City Welcomes Plum House Café to Village Gate Square

(Friday, July, 22, 2016) - Department of Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner Baye Muhammad, New York State Senator Rich Funke and City Council Member Elaine Spuall joined Mark Teng for a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the grand opening of Plum House Café in the Village Gate Square.

Plum House Café specializes in a unique blend of pan Asian cuisine with a healthy American twist. All dishes are customizable per the diner’s pallet and dietary restrictions. The Café also has a custom noodle maker to enhance your one of a kind meal and satisfy your craving for ramen. Also, on the menu are veggie shakes, smoothies and juices.

“I am honored to welcome Mr. Teng to Village Gate,” said Commissioner Muhammad. “He has a proven track record as a restauranteur, and his presence here will further bolster Village Gate’s reputation as one of the city’s most popular dining destinations.”

Mr. Teng has owned a series of highly successful restaurants over the years and currently owns the Plum House on Monroe Avenue and Bar Furoshiki on Park.
