News Release - Monday is First Public Meeting on City’s Comprehensive Master Plan

(Friday, November 11, 2016) — A series of public meetings on the City of Rochester’s Comprehensive Master Plan begins 5 p.m., Mon., November 14 at the David F. Gantt R-Center, 700 North St. The meetings are designed to give residents the opportunity to share their ideas about the future of the City of Rochester. The meetings will be an open house format with members of the project team on hand to answer questions. Attendees can attend at any time between 5 and 7 p.m. and stay as little or as long as they like.

Four additional public meetings will take place on the following schedule:
 

  • 5 to 7 p.m., Tues., Nov. 15 at the Maplewood Branch Library, 1111 Dewey Ave.
  • 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wed., Nov. 16 at the Tower 280 Lobby, 280 E. Broad St.
  • 5 to 7 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 17 at the Ryan R-Center, 530 Webster Ave.
  • 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tues., Nov. 22 at the Arnett Branch Library, 310 Arnett Blvd.

The City has begun updating its existing Master Plan, which was adopted by City Council in 1999. The updated plan will be called “Rochester 4.0 – Our Neighborhoods, Our Future.” The plan seeks to establish a cohesive vision that will serve as a roadmap to guide the City’s growth and development.
