(Wednesday, April 5, 2017) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren today announced two upcoming events aimed at connecting residents to local employment opportunities. The City has partnered with Home Leasing and the RIT Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE) to host a job fair from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at the RIT CUE, 40 Franklin St.
The fair will feature employment opportunities with Home Leasing Construction LLP and its subcontractors in construction trades, management, property maintenance and more. Many positions will be at Warfield Square, a $17 million development at 1337 East Main Street in the EMMA neighborhood with others at sites throughout the city and adjacent suburbs.
In anticipation of this event, the City’s Operation Transformation Rochester (OTR) team will host an informational session at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 at the Ryan R-Center, 530 Webster Ave. in the Beechwood neighborhood. This session will highlight OTR’s services including application completion, resume writing, interview preparation and employment readiness training to help residents prepare for the job fair.
