MVP Health Care Slow Ride Series Adds New Biking Opportunities for All Ages

(Tuesday, August 22, 2017) –
The MVP Health Care Slow Ride series, four free, on-street community bicycle rides that showcase Rochester, will begin on Thursday, August 24. The first ride will showcase Western Rochester and will meet in the parking lot behind Brooks Landing on Brooks Avenue and Genesee Street.
The MVP Health Care Slow Ride is an hour long ride for all ages and skill levels through the unique neighborhoods of Rochester. The rides will highlight significant organizations, historically meaningful places, arts institutions and more.

“I am thankful to MVP Health Care and all of our supporters for helping us offer the MVP Healthcare Slow Ride series to our citizens and for helping us promote exercise and exploration of our City neighborhoods,” said Mayor Lovely Warren. “These special events contribute to our goal of safer and more vibrant neighborhoods, more jobs and better educational opportunities for all citizens.”

“Rochester’s unique neighborhoods make it a special place,” said Denise Gonick, president and CEO of MVP Health Care. “When you’re traveling through the city, though, you’re likely to be focused on where you need to go. The MVP Health Care Slow Ride series invites everyone to travel for the joy of the journey and to sight-see in their own town. We hope everyone enjoys this novel way to get some exercise and experience the city!”

The City is teaming up with the community ride pros at Conkey Cruisers to bring this exciting new series to Rochester. The rides are also supported by Reconnect Rochester, R Community Bikes, the Rochester Cycling Alliance and Full Moon Vista.
