RFP - Gardiner Firehouse Upgrades

The City of Rochester, Department of Environmental Services, Bureau of Architecture and Engineering, is seeking proposals, from consultants to provide architectural, engineering and construction RPR services for the complete HVAC system replacement, kitchen cabinet and counter replacement and existing roof system recoating/restoration at the Gardner Avenue Firehouse.

The firehouse is a single story masonry structure, approximately 6,600 square feet and was built in the late 1950’s.

It is the city’s intent to have the HVAC system redesigned to eliminate the cooling tower, examine ventilation and make-up air capacities, CO detection and any other mechanical code upgrades required. The new kitchen cabinets and counter shall be stainless steel, layout will remain essentially as is.

The roof restoration will be done with input from the manufacturer (Tremco), to design a system restoration that will obtain a 15 year manufacturer’s warranty extension.

Pre-Proposal Meeting

A pre-proposal meeting and walk thru for interested consultants will be held at 300 p.m. on October 12, 2017 at Gardiner Firehouse, 57 Gardiner Avenue, Rochester, NY 14611. Please meet in front of the firehouse, do not park in the manner that would block the overhead doors.
