News Release - Fall Loose Leaf Collection Program Starts Monday, October 30

City of Rochester

News Release

(Monday, Oct. 23, 2017) – The City’s Department of Environmental Services’ (DES) annual Fall Loose Leaf Collection Program will begin Monday, Oct. 30.

A collection schedule and map can be found on the City’s Loose Leaf Collection Program web page at www.cityofrochester.gov/leaves. Once collection begins, the map will show daily updates so residents may see where crews have been.

Residents can also check their DES “At Your Service” guides, which were delivered by mail earlier this month, to find when City crews will be in their neighborhood. Guides are also available for pick-up at City Neighborhood Service Centers.

The program continues through Nov. 24.

Residents are reminded to rake loose leaves into a pile between the sidewalk and the curb before the Monday of their scheduled collection week and to not rake leaves into the street. Bagged leaves may be placed at the curb to be collected on residents’ regular refuse collection days.
