(Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017) – Today, our community and all
of America celebrates Veterans Day. This is a day to remember and honor the men
and women who have served, and continue to serve, in our nation’s military
services. Whether they served in war or peace, these citizens pledged to put
their own lives at risk to defend this nation and the principles on which it
was founded. I urge all Rochester citizens to take a moment on this special
holiday to consider the contribution, dedication and sacrifice of our nation’s
veterans and to offer a prayer or thought of gratitude on their behalf.
