Rochester Expresses its Enthusiastic Support
The idea of filling in the Inner Loop has been discussed in the community for over two decades. As the facility has deteriorated over the years, support from surrounding neighborhoods, business owners, developers, and real estate firms has grown substantially. Transforming the sunken Inner Loop from a barrier to a beautiful, high quality street will benefit the entire community.
Support from the Community
The following are letters to United States Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, in support of the City's Inner Loop East project. These letters were penned by local neighborhood associations, business associations, elected officials, property developers, and more. They illustrate the deep and varied community support that stands behind filling in the Inner Loop East.
