RFD PROMOTES THIRTEEN OFFICERS
Rochester Fire Chief John Caufield promoted
13 members of the Rochester Fire Department
in a ceremony in the Atrium of the Public
Safety Building at 185 Exchange Blvd.Ther
were nine firefighters sworn in as Lieutenants
and four officers elevated to the position
of Captain. "This is an exciting
time for our department," said
Chief Caufield. "These men represent
or future and bring new energy, enthusiasm
and a wealth of experience to their new
leadership positions. As we move forward
their efforts will play a significant
role in our success." Also,
Firefighter Felipe Hernandez Jr. who was
promoted to Lieutenant, becomes the first
Latino firefighter to achieve this rank.
