Got Talent? ROC STARS talent show

Announcing ROC Stars & GYSD Transformation Through the Arts Talent Auditions

The City of Rochester, in partnership with Nazareth College and the Rochester Area Community Foundation, invites singers, rappers, dancers, poets, and visual artists to compete in the ROC Stars & GYSD Transformation Through the Arts Talent Auditions—and a chance to win cash prizes.  City students ages 10 through 19 are eligible.

In-person auditions for all competition categories except visual arts will be held on Tuesday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 10 at the Thomas P. Ryan Community Center, 530 Webster Ave. from 6 to 8:00 p.m.

Visual artists may submit one piece of artwork via email as a high-resolution image along with a completed registration form to: harrist@cityofrochester.gov, by April 3. Finalists will be announced no later than April 10.



Audition applicants must complete a registration form which requires the signature of a parent or guardian for those ages 17 and under. Forms will be available at area R-Centers, or may be downloaded here.

(Forms may be brought to the Audition but preference will be given to early returns.) 


The 2015 ROC Stars Talent Show will be held from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the School of the Arts, 45 Prince Street. The cash prize for first place winners in each category is $200. Second place winners will each receive $100 and third place winners will receive $50.
