 New Indoor Training Facility!

The Department of Recreation and Human Services announced the grand opening of the New Indoor Training Facility at the Rochester Community Sports Complex on September 8, 2021.  The “R-Training Center” is adjacent to the Rochester Community Sports Complex stadium.

Plans for a new indoor training facility was announced on January 14, 2020 when the City of Rochester was awarded $460,000 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation completing the necessary funding for the $2.1 million indoor sports training facility for use by student athletes and the Rochester community.

The R-Training Center is a state of the art indoor sports training facility featuring both turf and court sports. The indoor turf is split into two distinct training areas and can be used for football, baseball, lacrosse and soccer training. The court area features basketball training courts. Both areas feature modern training equipment. The building also features batting tunnel, running track, new accessible restrooms, fire safety, new rooftop HVAC, new lighting, cardio room with state of the art equipment, weight room, and a visual training classroom.  This is the first indoor training center of its kind within the Rochester city limits and serving Rochester youth!  The training facility will also be available for community permitting.
