City of Rochester

News Release

(Tuesday, April 20, 2021) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren is asking motorists to use extra caution during the morning commute tomorrow, Wednesday, April 21, when a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect.

The Advisory will run from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, total accumulations of 3 to 5 inches of heavy, wet snow are expected, along with slushy and slippery road conditions.

“Please be patient and allow plenty of time to get where you need to go tomorrow,” said Mayor Warren. “Although it is rare, we do get snow in April so it’s important to continue to drive safely, give our plow and salt trucks plenty of room to operate and observe alternate side parking regulations.”
