(Wednesday,
March 8, 2023) – The City’s Department
of Recreation and Human Services is hosting the ROC Youth Community Resource
and Employment Fair, 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 11 at the Monroe
Community College Downtown Campus, 321 State St.
Youth ages 14–25 can connect with recruiters and
community agency representatives to learn about job opportunities and apply for
Summer of Opportunity and Summer Youth Employment Program jobs.
Parents, guardians, and mentors are welcome to
accompany their youth to the event. Free parking is available in lot AA on
Morrie Silver Way across the street from the Downtown Campus.
Participating agencies include the City of
Rochester, Common Ground Health, ITEC Training & Education Center, UNiCON
Rochester, International Paper, Bricklayers, and Allied Craftworkers Local 3
NY, Heat & Frost Insulators Local 26, United Union of Roofers Local 22,
Common Ground Health, CDS Life Transitions, and the Monroe County Board of
Elections.
