RFP - Managed Security Operations Center Services

Background

The City of Rochester is a full-service municipality of 210,000 people located in the upstate New York Finger Lakes region. The City’s IT Department is responsible for providing centralized information technology services to the City’s internal customers (i.e., City employees) and external stakeholders that access the City’s digital services.

This Project’s goal is to procure a software solution and related services to enhance the City’s cyber security position through the implementation of a fully managed SOC that combines elements of: security information event management (SIEM); security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR); and extended detection response (XDR) solutions.

The Consultant’s tools must be able to: integrate with the City’s current cyber security solutions; accept logs and events from our identity provider, cloud services, and on-premises platforms; and ingest email notifications and events from an EDR solution managed by New York State, among other requirements outlined in greater detail in this RFP.
