Refuse and Recycling Delayed by One Day
 
City Branch Libraries to Close

 

(Thursday, May 25, 2025) – Rochester City Hall, Rochester Public Libraries, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott for Human Services administrative office building at 57 St. Paul St. will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

 

Refuse and recycling collection will not take place on Monday, May 29, and pickups will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. For more information, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/residentialrefuse/.

 

Rochester Public Library branches will close on Monday, May 29, and reopen on Tuesday, May 30. For a full list of branch locations and hours, please visit https://libraryweb.org/hours/locations-hours/.

 

Rochester Animal Services, 184 Verona St., will remain open during normal hours.  Walk-in services will be available, 11 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Saturday, with adoption services ending at 3 p.m. For more information, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/rochesteranimalservices/.

 

The 311 Call Center will remain open with normal hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday–Friday.
