City of Rochester News Release - Bands on the Bricks Concert Series Returns to the City of Rochester Public Market on July 5

(Monday, May 13, 2024) – Bands on the Bricks, Rochester’s favorite outdoor summertime concert series opens this year’s season once again with Latin Night at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 5 at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St.

Now in its 26th year, this popular music series features renowned local and national acts with a wide selection of local food and beverages, and general merchandise vendors. This year the tradition continues to open the series with Latin Night, featuring local salsa, bachata and reggaeton performances curated by the organizers of the Rochester Puerto Rican Festival.

Bands on the Bricks is sponsored by the IDE family of dealers and continues for six consecutive Fridays through Aug. 9. The remaining 2024 Bands on the Bricks lineup is:

  • July 12 - Second Annual Band on the Bricks Arts, Craft and Music Festival featuring the music of Into the Now, Rochester’s long-running tribute to the Grateful Dead, following an opening performance by Personal Blend.  The night will include 80 artisan vendors plus and VIP section hosted by Advantage Federal Credit Union.
  • July 19 – Headliner: Dirty Work, featuring members of Aqueous with guest Peter Griffith Group; Opener: Brian Griffith Band (blues, rock).
  • July 26 – Headliner: Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, (psychedelic, jam band); Opener: Judah (rock).
  • Aug. 2 – Headliner: ZBTB (Zac Brown tribute band); Opener: The Monica Hall Band (country rock).
  • Aug. 9 – Headliner: Donna the Buffalo (reggae, folk rock); Opener: Chris Beard (blues)
