City of Rochester

News Release

(Friday, Oct. 21, 2016) – The online payment page on the City of Rochester website will be offline Monday, Oct. 24 as the City converts to a new Bill Pay Portal. The new Portal will debut on the City website on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and will give customers expanded options to pay taxes, fees and other bills.

The Bill Pay Portal will offers many new features, including expanded options to pay via multiple bank and payment card accounts; enhanced user profile settings and notifications; the ability to schedule recurring and one-time payments; the ability to set up payment plans; real time account balance updates and easier access to billing information. With the new system, customers will be able to do such things as pay more than one bill with one transaction, make partial payments and view their bill-paying history.

To use the new system, customers will be encouraged to create password-protected user profiles. Customers who are currently set up for automated payments with the City will have to re-establish their automatic payments on the Bill Pay Portal after they create a user profile.

Customers will also have the option to make a one-time payment as a guest.

The City’s new Bill Pay Portal will be found at www.cityofrochester.gov/payments.

The Bill Pay Portal will be used to pay taxes, water bills, parking tickets, renew alarm permits and make donations to the Rochester Animal Services and Reforest Mount Hope funds.
