RFP: Program evaluation of the of the Rochester Peace Collective

The City of Rochester is seeking for proposals from qualified Consultants with experience in program evaluation and in the field of violence prevention to conduct a multi-organization program evaluation on City contracts with local agencies at various stages of completion, as part of the multi-year ARPA-funded Rochester Peace Collective (RPC) program.

About the Office of Violence Prevention

The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) implements a centralized strategy of violence reduction programs, led by OVP Director Zequa Tookes.

The mission of this Office is to coordinate and foster better internal and external partnerships to advance violence prevention. In addition to staffing City initiatives, we also collaborate with community-based organizations and agencies working to end violent crime.

She is the compassionate voice on the line when you call 428-ROVP for support. Her role involves bridging connections between individuals seeking to prevent violent or other critical situations and the professionals who can provide assistance, all within a secure and confidential setting.

Choose Wisdom

Choose wisdom. In two words, a wealth of power.  “Choose Wisdom” is a campaign that captures and shares the voices of Rochesterians who have grappled with violence and important life choices. The campaign works to elevate resources that are available through the Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), and encourages people to get involved to help others. 

The campaign is the brainchild of OVP Director Victor Saunders, and local filmmaker Shabaka Mu Ausar.
