City of Rochester
News Release
(Wednesday, March 22, 2023) – The City’s
R-Centers will shift their operating hours and offer innovative programs over
the annual Spring Recess from school.
“Students love recess, but these
short-term breaks can also offer meaningful opportunities to get engaged and
experience new things,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “City R-Centers are also
outstanding resources for working parents, offering places where kids can be
safe, healthy and engaged. This Spring Break, we are supporting youth and
families while also encouraging young people to grow into future leaders.”
City R-Centers, which are
typically open during afterschool and evening hours, will be open from 9 a.m.–6
p.m., Monday, April 3–Thursday, April 6 and will offer a wide variety of
additional programming, including free lunches. Adams Street R-Center will not
be open due to construction.
The popular Biz Kid$ business education camp will take place all week long. The

and business supplies. For more information or to apply, call 428-7098.
