Located in Genesee Valley Park, the Sports Complex is an all-season facility that offers ice skating and aquatics amenities.
Note: the closest public library branch to the Complex is the Arnett Branch, 310 Arnett Boulevard.
Ice Arena
The Ice Arena is open from September 4, 2009 - April 17, 2010, (closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter). The GVP Complex Ice Arena is the proud home of the hockey teams from the University of Rochester, Gates-Chili High School, St. John Fisher Cardinals, Rochester Red Wings Youth Hockey, and McQuaid Jesuit High School.
Among other special programs, the arena offers:
- Open ice skating (All times subject to change, call (585) 428-7889 for updates)
- Sundays: 2 - 3:15 p.m.
- Mondays - Fridays: 12 noon - 1:15 p.m.
- Wednesdays (18 and up): 10:30 -11:45 a.m.
- Fridays (16 and up): 10 - 11:30 p.m.
- Adult skate (Except during school recess):
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 10:30 - 11:45 a.m.
- Snack bar and lockers (bring your own lock)
- Ice skating lessons (for a fee)
- Figure Skating / Learn to Skate
- Rochester Skate Club skates on Saturday and Sunday, call 359-9010 for more information
- Men's hockey leagues (Thursdays, October 8, 2009 - April 2010)

Aquatics Facility
The GVP Complex Aquatics Facility offers an outdoor olympic-sized swimming pool to cool off in the summer. It is home to the Genesee Valley Swim Team and the Rochester Polo Club.
Among other special programs, the Aquatics Facility offers:
- Open swim
- Swimming instruction
- Snack bar and lockers (bring your own lock)
- Slides
- Birthday party and other celebrations packages

Rent the Rink or Pool for Your Next Celebration
