| TRAFFIC NOTICE FOR: Smith Street Bridge; St. Paul St./Upper Falls Blvd./Smith St. intersection; Lake Ave./State St./Lyell Ave/Smith St. intersection; and S. Vincent St. from State to Smith St. |
Milling and paving work will be underway on the Smith St. Bridge approaches during week beginning Monday, November 9, 2009. Expect significant short term delays during this work along Smith St. and Lake Ave. and St. Paul St. intersections with Smith St. |

This work is part of the City’s Ashwood Drive Group Improvement Project. Work is planned for Ashwood Dr., Fieldwood Dr., and Master St. Construction includes: installation of new watermain and services on Ashwood and Fieldwood; reconstruction of Ashwood and Fieldwood; new curbs and under drain pipe; sidewalk replacement; new driveway aprons; and landscaping. |

| Clinton Ave. North from Upper Falls Blvd. to Avenue D |
Work is part of the City's LaAvenida Project. Work will involve enhancements along North Clinton Ave. from Upper Falls Blvd. to Ave D. Work includes: miscellaneous milling and paving; crosswalk improvements at side streets and intersections; imprinted asphalt crosswalks; new concrete sidewalks; installation of new street lighting system; installation of new urban plaza areas; spot replacement of brick and concrete walks and curb; installation of bus shelters; and topsoil and seeding. |

This work is part of the City’s Annual Bridge Maintenance 2009 Project. Work involves maintenance work on various City bridges throughout the City. Bridges include: Andrews St. over Genesee R.; Court St. over Genesee R.; Driving Park over Genesee R.; E. Main St. over CSXT RR tracks; Lake Ave. over CSXT RR tracks; Main St. over Genesee R.; Elmwood Ave. over Genesee R.; and Ford St. over Genesee R.
This is a Federal ARRA Stimulus project.

| Hazardous Sidewalk Replacements, North East Quadrant |
Work involves the replacement of hazardous sidewalks in one quadrant of the City each year. Generally small sections of sidewalk that present tripping hazards are removed and replaced on various streets.
This year work is being done in the North East quadrant of the City. |

Minor restrictions at the work sites which change daily. Sidewalk replacement at driveways requires a 2 to 3 day closure of the driveway until concrete cures. This will require alternative parking for residents or businesses until the drive is ready. |

The Project involves the renovation of the Smith Street Bridge. Work includes replacement of bridge joints in the roadway, restoration of the bridge deck and sidewalks and various maintenance repair on the bridge sub structure. |

The bridge is narrowed to one single lane of traffic in each direction while the contractor works on the other half of the bridge deck. Expect some delays in crossing the bridge. The bridge will remain reduced to 1 lane in each direction thru November, 2009 until work on both sides of the bridge deck are completed.
