Residential Sidewalk Curb Ramps Project

 

Work consists of improvements to sidewalk curb ramps at various intersections. Work will include: installation/modification of curb ramps to comply with latest ADA guidlines; catch basin, street lighting and signage upgrades; and replacement of hazardous sidewalks.

Work to be done on following streets:

Crittenden Blvd.; Raleigh; Rossiter; Irvington; Latimore; Stanford; Shelbourne; Elmerston; Edgemont; Kendrick; Westmorland; Westview; Southview; South Ave.; Fort Hill Terr.; Rosemount; Warren; Boothe; Brighton Park; and Redfern.

Allen Street from Mongumery to State  This work is part of the City's Milling & Resurfacing, 2014 Project. Traffic reduced from two  to one lane in each direction. Expect some delays and backups especially at rush hour.

TRAFFIC NOTICE: Elmwood ave. east bound traffic will not be allowed to turn left onto Wilson Blvd at U of R entrance beginning on October 2 due to construction activities on the Elmwood Bridge. Alternate routes via Genesee/Plymouth/Ford St Bridge/Wilson Blvd are posted. This restriction will be in effect until approximately October 15.
