Broad Street from Main to Allen

Traffic Notice.

This traffic notice is related to work on the Broad St. Tunnel Project. For more information on the project see Broad St. Tunnel Project in this report.

This portion of Broad St. is closed to all traffic  to allow  construction operations for the Broad St. Tunnel Project.

Posted detours are in place. The detour for northbound Broad St. traffic from West Main to Allen will be via West Main St. to Plymouth Ave. to Brown St. to Broad St. The detour for southbound Broad St. traffic will be via Canal St. to West Main St. to Broad St.

Additionally, the two-way portion of Canal St. from Wiley St. to West Main St. will be temporarily changed to One-Way southbound as part of the detour. The northbound detour for this portion of Canal St. will be via West Main St. to Litchfield to Wiley St. to Canal St. New parking restrictions will apply to Canal St. during this detour.

Access to Industrial St. for local traffic only will be via West Main St. to Broad St. to Industrial St. 

The street closing and detours will be in effect until fall, 2010. The traveling public should expect some delays in this area of Broad St. during the work.

Broad Street from Main to Exchange Traffic Notice.

This traffic notice is related to work on the Broad St. Tunnel Project. For more information on the project see Broad St. Tunnel Project in this report.

Beginning Monday, April 5, the south side of Broad St., from W. Main St. to Exchange St., will be closed until August 2010. Traffic on this section of Broad St. will be reduced to one lane in each direction as work continues on the Broad Street Tunnel Project, which began in February. Turns onto W. Main St., Washington St., Plymouth Ave., Fitzhugh St., and Exchange Blvd. will still be permitted. During this time, there will be no parking allowed on this section of Broad St. and portions of the sidewalk will be closed at various times. Access to all buildings along Broad St. will be maintained.

Broad Street from Allen to Brown Traffic Notice.

This traffic notice is related to work on the Broad St. Tunnel Project. For more information on the project see Broad St. Tunnel Project in this report.

Beginning Wednesday, April 7, Broad St., between Allen St. and Brown St., will be reduced to one-way southbound. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Morrie Silver Way to Plymouth Ave. to Brown St. to Broad St. This detour will be in effect until November 2010.

Broad Street Tunnel Project

The Broad Street Tunnel Project is a $14 million City-administered Federal and State Aid project that includes the filling of the underground subway tunnel from Brown St. to West Main St.; the rehabilitation and repair of the tunnel from West Main St. to Exchange St.; the reconstruction of various intersections along Broad St.; and the milling and paving of Broad St.  All work is expected to be completed by February, 2012.

Canal Street from Wiley to West Main

Traffic Notice

This traffic notice is related to work on the Broad St. Tunnel Project. For more information on the project see Broad St. Tunnel Project in this report.

     

This portion of Canal St. has been temporarily changed from 2 way traffic to One Way southbound from Wiley towards West Main as part of the detour for the Broad St. Tunnel Project closing of Broad St. 

The northbound detour for this portion of Canal St. will be via West Main St. to Litchfield to Wiley St. to Canal St. New parking restrictions will apply to Canal St. during this detour.

East Henrietta Road from Mt. Hope to South. The Project includes:  installation of a new watermain and storm sewer system; new curbs, sidewalks and roadway; replacement of driveway aprons; and topsoil and seeding of the area disturbed by construction activities. Road work. Gordon J. Phillips Inc. October, 2010 Traffic Notice: E. Henrietta Rd. from Mt. Hope to South is now back to Two Way restricted traffic. However, the roadway is currently scheduled to become One Way northbound in the direction of Westfall to Mt. Hope for 1 day on August 30 for final paving. Southbound detour will be Mt. Hope to  Westfall to E. Henrietta Rd. Actual date is weather dependent and could change depending on rain.. Main Street Bridge at CSX Tracks & Goodman Street This work is part of the City’s 2010 Annual Bridge Maintenance Project. Work involves repairs and upgrades to various City bridgesa and structures in the City. Bridge deck work. C. P Ward August, 2010 Restricted twp-way traffic at the bridge during the work. Maplewood Drive from Seneca to Riverview

This work is part of the City’s 2009 Milling and Resurfacing Project. Work involves: milling of the roadway; adjustment of roadway manholes, water valves and catch basins; and final resurfacing of the roadway. Work may also include spot curb and sidewalk replacement. Work generally takes 4 to 6 weeks per each street. Milling and resurfacing. Villager Construction August, 2010 Restricted two-way traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.

N. Clinton Ave. from Upper Falls Blvd. to Avenue D

This work is part of the LaAvenida Project. Project work includes: new Intersection pedestrian cross walks; some new street lighting including poles and fixtures; two new bus shelters along N. Clinton Ave. near Avenue D and Radio St.; new bike racks at various locations; construction and installation of gateway treatments along the north side of Upper Falls Blvd.; and construction of new urban plaza areas located at the northeast and southeast corners of Don Samuel Torres Park.  New trees and landscape features will complete the project.

During the construction, the Street will be open to two-way Traffic. However, at times there will be alternating traffic to help facilitate the work.
