Rochester Housing Quality Task Force
The Rochester Housing Quality Task Force (HQTF) is a collaborative initiative focused on improving housing standards across the city. The task force works to address issues such as substandard housing conditions, housing code enforcement, and tenant rights. The task force seeks to enhance housing quality for all residents, ensuring safe, healthy, and livable environments.
Report and recommendations
In June of 2022, one day before its 90-business-day deadline, the HQTF delivered its final recommendations to Mayor Evans.
The 21-member task force included a broad spectrum of subject-matter experts, who worked together over the 19 weeks to compile its final recommendations. Mayor Evans requested that this group focus on housing quality recommendations that City Hall could implement in the short- and immediate-terms.
