A former New York City resident, Lili began her career as an intern at the radio stations WBLS-FM in New York City and WDKX-FM in Rochester. Upon graduating from Long Island University – CW Post, Lili started a nine-year run in magazine publishing in New York City as a production manager for Hearst Magazines, with titles including Popular Mechanics, Harper’s Bazaar and Seventeen Magazine.

In 2009, she returned to WDKX-FM to serve as Director of Special Events and Promotions. Lili was responsible for the station’s promotional events, coordinating logistics, personnel and marketing and served as an on-site manager. Lili partnered with station advertisers and community stakeholders to create community based activities and programming for Rochester residents.

Lili has established deep roots in our community and we look forward to her continuing her advocacy for Rochester’s residents in the Mayor’s Office of Constituent Services.

Ruiz serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for ROC City Skate Park, which when completed will be one of the largest outdoor skate parks in the country intended to provide a safe recreational experience for youth. She also sits on the business committee of Unite Rochester, an organization that connects qualified young people with jobs and she is on the board for Compeer.

She resides in the City of Rochester with her son Marlon.
